2008 Season
The big question entering the 2008 campaign about Glaus, was if he could stay healthy throughout the entire season? He answered, by playing in 151 games and most of the season injury free, other than some shouder discomfort in September. An MRI showed no structural damage to the shoulder and Glaus finished the season on the field, setting a major league leading and new St. Louis third base fielding record (.982). He finished the season hitting .270 with 27 home runs and 99 RBIs to compliment his Gold Glove type season at the hot corner.
2007 Season
Placed on the 60-day DL in September, submitted to season ending surgery to correct a nerve problem in his left foot related to his chronic case of plantar fasciitis. Hit .262 with 20 home runs and 62 RBI in 115 games for Toronto.
Career Notes
Dating back to 2000, Glaus ranks second among American League third baseman with 210 home runs. In September of 2008, he hit his 300th home run of his career.
Troy was named World Series Most Valuable Player in 2002 after batting .385 (10-for-26) with seven runs scored, three doubles, three home runs and eight RBI.
