| Selected in the third round of the 2005 draft from the University of Mississippi, Holliman made his professional debut the following year at Class-A Daytona in the Florida State League. He placed fourth in the league in strikeouts with 121 in 144 innings. The right-hander was 8-11 overall with a 4.38 ERA in 26 starts. ... Spent 2007 at Class AA Tennessee and was 10-11 with 3.57 ERA in 161 1/3 innings. ... Tossed seven-inning no-hitter against AA Huntsville on June 21, 2007. ... 2008: Began season at Class AAA Iowa, making five starts and going 1-1 with a 5.16 ERA in 22 2/3 innings. |
