The Padres claimed Banks off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on April 23, 2008.
Banks has a career 50-44 minor league record with a 4.23 ERA (346 ER/736.1 IP) in 130 games (129 starts) over parts of six seasons in the Blue Jays organization. He is 0-2 with a 7.02 ERA (13 ER/16.2 IP) in three starts this season for Triple-A Syracuse.
The right-hander made his Major League debut in 2007 with the Blue Jays, posting a 7.36 ERA (6 ER/6.1 IP) in three outings (one start). |
