| Selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth round of the 2004 draft. Salome was selected the Pioneer League's Most Valuable Player and a postseason All-Star in 2005. In 2006, he made the midseason and postseason All-Star teams in the South Atlantic League in 2006, suffering a broken ankle late in the season. He was ranked the eighth-best prospect in the organization in 2007 by Baseball America. |
